The gondola -Col San Martino Green :
system created in 1998 to replace the historic single-seater chair lift. This is an 8-person gondola that San Martino di Castrozza halls (1,462 m). Colverde to the village (1,905 mt.) along the 1600 meters between the two stations within 5 minutes.
The cableway Col-Green Rosetta :
connects the town Col Green (d. 1905) with the plateau of the Pale, covering a vertical drop of 700 meters. It was inaugurated on August 12, 1957 (in 1950 was brought into operation the first single-seater chairlift in the area, the Col Verde). At the time, was the highest in Italy. In later years he was repeatedly kicked, the first time in 1965. A more radical restructuring, which brought the capacity to 260 people an hour, took place in 1982. The one currently in service has been completely renovated in 2005 and is capable of carrying 420 passengers per hour in groups of 40 at a time (three times the 1957 ).
The Shelter of the SAT Rosetta G. Pedrotti :
is one of the oldest refuges in the SAT, since it was built in 1889. Destroyed during the First World War, then rebuilt and enlarged in 1931, burned by the Nazis in retaliation during the Second World War and finally rebuilt in 1952. It has a winter room with ten beds and blankets.
The overview of the Cima Rosetta
usually neglected because only 100 feet above the cable car, is a wonderful viewpoint that actually deserves more attention. I put here two pictures taken in the short interval between fog and snow: the Cimon della Pala with the long summit ridge in full view and a view towards the Po valley.
